August 9, 2013 Fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. A group of volunteers from the Denver area are going to Paraguay with Habitat for Humanity in October.They will be there for a week to work on a house in Asuncion along side the future residents of the house. Part of the responsibility to go on this trip is to raise money to pay for the supplies and other costs that Habitat for Humanity will incur in order for everyone to participate in this project. A portion of the proceeds from this fun night out will be donated to this very worthy cause, please won't you help us help them?! In the time it takes to complete a painting at Whimsy, as many as 1200 children will die of starvation or diseases related to malnutrition. At Kids Against Hunger – Erie, we believe that alarming rate can be slowed, even halted, by providing nutritious food to families living in poverty. As one of more than 90 Kids Against Hunger satellites in North America, our mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and to feed starving children throughout the world. We work with volunteers to package highly nutritious meals that we distribute locally and overseas through carefully selected partners. Please join us on July 25 or July 31 to paint a specially-commissioned project, and Whimsy will donate $15 for every ticket to Kids Against Hunger. Can’t make that date? "We are embarking on an 18 week endurance fundraising program called Team Challenge, where we will train to run our first half marathon in July and raise funds for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). We are running in honor of Jane, Spencer, and Sam, who are 10 and 12 years old. Each has been diagnosed with Chron's disease or ulcerative colitis and attend Camp Oasis during the summer, a camp for children affected by these diseases. When you paint with us at our silent auction on May 3rd, you will help us reach our goal of $9,000! Your donations are 100% tax deductable. Think pink with Ami Larson as she gets ready to participate in her 6th Avon 2 Day Walk for Breast Cancer! She'll be walking 40 miles in honor of all those who have battled this horrible disease. In order to participate, Ami needs to raise $1800 but she plans to raise much more than that, but she needs your help! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation and will benefit women who cannot afford care, families who have a loved one with breast cancer, and kiddos who are struggling to understand what it means for their mother to have breast cancer. All money raised for the Rocky Mountains Walk will stay in the Denver Metro area. Come and think pink while painting and sipping! It's guranteed to be a pinkalicious night!

A Woman’s Work and Whimsy partner the entire month of March!!
A Woman's Work is a unique funding source for women in the St. Vrain Valley who need support for immediate needs that cannot be met by other sources. On Wednesday, March 7, Whimsy will host a fundraising event to benefit A Woman’s Work. Whimsy will donate $10 for everyone that paints and sips on March 7 (and any other time in March). These donations support women, benefit families and strengthen our local communities. This event will sell out fast. Zeke Trujillo will be heading out on an adventure to see the sights of New York and Washington, D.C. with his 8th grade class. While most kids are enjoying Spring Break, Zeke and his peers will be learning about American History first hand. E2F4 is an organization that helps families of single parents fighting illness or injury to keep focus on their families. Keeping positive activities and energy helps the entire family on the road of recovery. The organization was inspired by Ms. Kayla Clark, a teacher who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. A single mother, Kayla found the strength to keep fighting through her young daughter.

The Longmont Humane Society, together with Whimsy Paint and Sip are proud to announce a new fundraiser to benefit the animals. During the month of June, Whimsy is helping the animals by donating $10 from each painting event when you Specify “LHS” when registering. We will be kicking off the month with a special event just for animal lovers on June 2nd from 6:30 to 9 PM.
